Admission is free on Thursdays, courtesy of a generous gift from the Shell Oil Company Foundation. The first Sunday of each month is also free courtesy of Target. Children 18 and under receive free admission on Saturdays and Sundays with a public library card. Prices Subject to change.
Sponsor and Benefactor members receive unlimited free admission for themselves and guests. The general admission fee includes viewing the MFAH permanent collection and most exhibitions.
Free Admission
Children (5 and under) and Glassell School students receive free general admission.
Children (18 and under) with a Houston Public Library PowerCard or any Public Library card receive free general admission on Saturday and Sunday.
Active Duty Military Personnel receive free admission for up to six persons Friday, May 28 through Monday, September 6, 2010. Please present an Active Duty Military Personnel or Family ID for complimentary admission.
Visiting Cafe Express, Hirsch Library, MFAH Shops, and Glassell School exhibitions does not require paying an admission fee to the MFAH.
Parking
Located directly east of the Beck and Law buildings, the MFAH Visitors Center features a four-story covered parking garage. The entrance is on Binz, market by a large, yellow arrow. Parking is $6.
Free parking is available in two outdoor street-level lots north of the Law Building along Main Street: one at Bissonnet, one at Oakdale.
